Ridge Road Public Forum
Please join For the Love of Munster as we host a public forum on the Ridge Road Streetscape project. We invite all those who are either in support or opposition to the project. We will take time to explain the history and the current project as funded with a $17 million grant by the federal government. The presentation will be an interactive affair with online feedback incorporated.
After the presentation, we will be having a “Taste of Ridge Road Pastries",” during breakout discussions where you can discuss the project further. Our objective is to give the public an opportunity to learn fully of the project, the proposed benefits, and help answer any outstanding questions raised.
Please RSVP on our Facebook event page if you are going to attend so we have an idea of how many pastries to supply. We hope you can join us!
If you are unable to attend, and are in support of the project, we encourage you to sign the following online petition found here: https://chng.it/88JMN4TzHk
We have Ridge Road YES! yard signs available as well. Please write us at fortheloveofmunster@gmail.com and let us know your address - thank you!

Munster Bikes and Brews
Join a casual group bike ride for any level cyclist through Munster’s beautiful trails and then end with a nice cold drink at Fuzzyline Brewery. 80% of this 5 mile ride will be on bike trails and the other 20% will be on dedicated bike lanes, mostly within quiet residential streets. The ride will be led by your friends from For the Love of Munster/Munster Sustainable & Green/Strong Towns Illiana, who of course all love Munster, but also love biking around town.
Fuzzyline Brewing, while technically in Highland, is right off of the Erie Lackawanna trail and offers many spots to lock up your bike. After a few refreshing brews, and maybe some of the brewery’s famously delicious food, we’ll plan to lead the group back to Munster around 9 p.m. You’ll be responsible for your own bill at the brewery.
Munster residents are lucky to be at the epicenter of several trails that converge on our little town. Many of these old rail lines have been converted into trails to create miles and miles of uninterrupted peaceful riding that everyone can enjoy. We want to showcase these amazing trails, the connectivity we enjoy within the region, and get people out on these trails.
